博士在北京中国大饭店正式签署“湖南医科大学医学遗传学国家重点实验室—— SB 公司研究与许可合同”（ 1996 年 1 月）Professor Xia
Jiahui and Dr. Russell Greig signed a contract between the National Lab of
Medical Genetics and SmithKline Beecham company at China Hotel of Beijing in
January 1996.

2002年8月17-22日，我室在湖南张家界举办了“发育与疾病的分子基础国际研讨会”，会议特邀了1989年诺贝尔奖得主Michael
Bishop博士、美国科学院院士Scott Emr博士、Ronald Evans博士、Joan Massague博士、Michael Geoff
Rosenfeld博士、Randy Schekman博士，英国皇家科学院院士Alan Hall博士、荷兰皇家科学院院士Hans
Clevers博士、中国科学院副院长陈竺院士、中国工程院副院长刘德培院士、中国科学院裴刚院士等总计30名国内外著名科学家作特邀报告，会议吸引了来自北京、上海等十几个内地省市和香港特别行政区和30多位美、英、德、荷、新加坡、澳大利亚等国的专家及学者总计300余人参会。会议取得圆满成功，效果非常好，获得了与会院士和专家们的一致好评。
